Shipping 

WHY WILL MY ORDER NOT SHIP UNTIL THURSDAY 29TH JUNE?

It's just me running the shop so orders placed while I'm taking a short break to recharge and spend time with family will ship on my return. I do apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for being so patient.

WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP?

I do my best to get all orders out within 48hours. You will receive an email when your order has been shipped. 

DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY? 

Yes! I love seeing my bags going to new homes all over the world.

HOW MUCH IS SHIPPING? 

Standard delivery is £3 UK, £4 Europe and £5 to the rest of the world. 

HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE TO ARRIVE?

Royal Mail aim to deliver 1st class UK mail next day excluding Sundays. Estimated delivery to Europe is 3-5 working days and the Rest of the World 5-7 working days.  Please know that these are estimates and international delivery can take longer, especially during the busy holiday season.

DOES STANDARD DELIVERY INCLUDE TRACKING? 

No. If you would like your order to have tracking just add your address at checkout to see all the shipping options available to you. Charges will be calculated depending on the size and weight of your order and where you are in the world. 

WHAT ABOUT CUSTOMS FEES? 

You are responsible for paying all customs fees, taxes or receiving fees (if any) incurred in your country.

HOW CAN I MAKE A CHANGE TO MY ORDER OR SHIPPING ADDRESS?

Please email alex@alexcollinsdesigns.com as soon as possible. Once an order has been shipped I can no longer make changes.

CAN I MAKE A RETURN? 

I am here to help and want you to love your purchase. If you have a problem or are unhappy with your order please email me at alex@alexcollinsdesigns.com so I can see how best I can help you.

Please kindly email me at alex@alexcollinsdesigns.com if you would like to make a return.  Any items returned must be sent back unused in their original condition within 14 days of receipt. You will need to pay the cost of returning the item/s and refunds will be processed when I receive the item and have inspected it. Please obtain a proof of postage if returning an item to me. 

I am based in the UK where sales are covered under the EU distance selling regulations .

DO YOU TAKE CUSTOM ORDERS? 

Not at this time. If you don't see what you are looking for in the shop I would love for you to email me at alex@alexcollinsdesigns.com so I can take your thoughts into consideration when designing future products.

Ethics

I feel a responsibility to made beautiful, functional pieces that have as little impact on our plant as I can which is reflected in the materials and supplies I choose.

This means I prefer to source packing supplies that are made from recycled materials and can be reused or recycled again and my fabrics are supplied by a small family run company here in the UK who sell GOTS certified organic cottons produced in India and Turkey.  

Not only do they check the validity of the certificates but they also return some of their profits to help the weavers they work with. Isn't that fantastic! I feel good about supporting their business and feel great about using these fabrics to make lovely things for you.

I chose to use organic cottons as they are grown without the use of harmful pesticides (hooray!) using pheromone traps, crop rotation, hand picking of bugs and natural repellents instead.

The fabrics are dyed with low impact dyes which are also GOTS approved and non toxic. 

I use not toxic solvent free water based ink to print with and even the thread I use to stitch and the cotton tape on the zips is organic cotton.
